New Homes

Well, I did it. Kris Mouse has gone to Judy.

Judy gave me some wonderful fabrics last fall, and I promised a bear. But she was a bear maker, so I really wanted something different. Kris is, and she felt adventurous so off she went, packed and in her Christmas (red) skirt and boa. Well Judy loved her, and loved the red. She was going to make a Valentine skirt to go with the boa.

And Harriette, well she has taken all her buttons to Sue's house. She was petrified, but put of a stiff upper lip, when I said Kris was going to go to Judy's. Harriette wanted to be adopted, and when she wasn't - she became distraught. Well Sue is blind, and needs the company. Sue looked her over with living fingers, and held her close. I think it will work fine.

Now I'm working on Blarney. His head is off to Karrie. She is making a plaid hat for him. She will let him tell her exactly what he wants, he does have a mind of his own, already, and he is only a head, so far. I must thank Joanne for some tips she has sent along. I've felted his nose, and it is the best nose I've done so far. When he comes back, I'll give him an open mouth. and add his body.

Well, the first Happy Birthday to Karrie, my daughter. She loves to celebrate, and has lost her Gramps - hers is 2/3 and his was 2/5 so they would work out a week before hers, and a week after his, and get a lot of celebrating in. Back

I'm back from my visit to Mom, but it's taken me a while to post to my blog. Please forgive me! I've been just too tired. And we are leaving again next week for almost 3 weeks. That is my 70th Birthday Present from my Sweetie (Sid) and his 75th Birthday Present from me. Works fine this way, he pays.

We will be traveling with long time friends and cruising buddies Pat & Lloyd Ostby, as well as Joan & Mike Dragnich, long time friends, but recent to cruising. We will all fly into Venice, IT, spend a day and then board the NCL Jade. I'll tell you about the trip on my return. Should be wonderful, ports we've done previously, but I love. The Adriatic Sea, The Mediterranean, and 14 days later back to Venice. I intend to drink coffee in little cafes and drink in the atmosphere.

Today I got busy and photographed Spirit Bear before the second of his final coats.

I also got lucky at Jo Ann's and found remnants at 50% off in blue and sand Ultrasuede. For some sewn teddies. I think Bears (no matter the type) have bitten me!

First Post

I'm starting - again! This time with my Daughter Karrie's help. There was just no way I could do this alone. I sure tried, but some of you could open, and some could not. Even I could not open all the time.

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I've really fallen for wool! Lots of it, and technically not all wool - bring on the Goats, Mohair, Lamas, Alpacas, anything. What do I do with this you may ask. Well, I needle felt! Here are some photos of my first bear (Lolly) and the MiniKins.
