Drawing Today
I want to do a black bear cub, and was asked to do a Havanese (a small dog). So it is new pattersn for me. I am planning to use real fur for both. Should be something if I can finish and do a good job.
I'd like to try a real open mouth on a bear, but woud need teeth or a small mouth --- maybe a raccone or squirll. I have one way to make an open mouth and that is with fabric and I'll call it an extra chin. I'd really like to try a real mouth. Does anyone have suggestinos of how to, or where to get?

Help Me Out
I have several pin cushions made up, and was thinking of taking them to my cancer support group next Monday. Because I may not have enough for all that come, is there a game or way I can give what I have without anyone feeling left out? I could # them and give out #s to each person that comes, and then call the winning #s. That would be fast, and we do chat away 2 hours with no trouble.

I'm Alive
Know that I put off blogging, just like I put of many things. Love reading posts, though, and enjoy all who follow me. Off the Bear subject, and off any related subjects to Sunshine, but I'm having computer trouble. I've lost my sound, and don't know what to do. I've checked my cords, speakers, raised sounds, asked my husband (I generally fix his, but desperate people do desperate things). Do you have a suggestion???

New Homes
Well, I did it. Kris Mouse has gone to Judy.
Judy gave me some wonderful fabrics last fall, and I promised a bear. But she was a bear maker, so I really wanted something different. Kris is, and she felt adventurous so off she went, packed and in her Christmas (red) skirt and boa. Well Judy loved her, and loved the red. She was going to make a Valentine skirt to go with the boa.
And Harriette, well she has taken all her buttons to Sue's house. She was petrified, but put of a stiff upper lip, when I said Kris was going to go to Judy's. Harriette wanted to be adopted, and when she wasn't - she became distraught. Well Sue is blind, and needs the company. Sue looked her over with living fingers, and held her close. I think it will work fine.
Now I'm working on Blarney. His head is off to Karrie. She is making a plaid hat for him. She will let him tell her exactly what he wants, he does have a mind of his own, already, and he is only a head, so far. I must thank Joanne for some tips she has sent along. I've felted his nose, and it is the best nose I've done so far. When he comes back, I'll give him an open mouth. and add his body.
Well, the first Happy Birthday to Karrie, my daughter. She loves to celebrate, and has lost her Gramps - hers is 2/3 and his was 2/5 so they would work out a week before hers, and a week after his, and get a lot of celebrating in. Send her greetings at hey.karrieann@gmail.com and she will be surprised.

Gifts
Well, yesterday I gave Kris Mouse to Judy, and Hearette to Sue. Sue is a blind gal I know and Hearette is a perfect friend. It will be a good fit. Sue looked her over many times with her fingers, and I knew it was perfect. I feel good. Judy is adding a Valentine apron over Kris's Christmas shirt, she loves the red, white, and black check.

2012
Hi All, and Happy New Years!!!
I'm starting another bear, Blarney, want to try to go further, so I've changed the pattern a bit. Have to thank all of you who are following me, and have added more than 2 cents worth of their experiences. You sure are helping me progress. Joanne and Faith, I love you both.
I'll put some more pictures up of the bears I did for Christmas. Sargent Major went to my husband, and my 2 great granddaughters wanted needle felted bears and both love purple.
The Community Enrichment Assoc of Port Ludlow (where I live) has donated 2 fur jackets, and I'll make teddy bears for them for their auction this Fall. Their ad has not run yet, so there will be more, and this will keep me out of pool halls and off the street (ha, ha).
